Katrina Video

This video was shot from the St Bernard Parish Government Complex on August 29, 30 and 31, 2005. Other video, filmed at different times, were added to show the effect Katrina had on our neighborhoods.

1. See the water as it rises, water for as far as the eyes can see!
2. Video shot from inside the Complex, as the water breaks through the doors.
3. Video shot from the roof top shows the devastation of the surrounding area.

This Video was produced with three different audio tracks

1. The original narrative as it was being filmed
2. a CBS radio Special Report
3. Music performed by the Doors, Kansas Joe, Pink Floyd, Drive and Aaron Neville

These audio tracks were mixed together with the intention of trying to duplicate the confusion that went on during the storm. There are points in this video where you'll only hear one of the three tracks playing and then times all three will be in your face. If you pay attention you can hear things happening in all three of the audio tracks at the same time.

If this happens to be a little too much confusion for you to handle, the fix is simple... turn down the volume on your computer and slip in your favorite Yo Yo Ma CD.

If enough interest is shown, I'll release a version of this DVD with just the Music performances.
